The unhealthy skin in the paintings is more blurred than melting when I firstly saw the works of Yogo Kohgi.
It is kind of eroticism I have never seen before.It shows an undercurrent in mordern life,such as unhealthy sex with drug,sexual desire.And it makes us become conscious of that.
Numberous eroticism images in websites during net surfing,sirring up desire of man,can be consumed repeatly and almost permanently.
And,the image will melt in the joy and desire illusion.
This kind of illusion is compose of melting skin made of oils and careful arrangement of color balance .Finally it turns to be an unique and beautiful painting.
It is not created in front of  a true model,but in front of a virtul one ,an image of a picture on the wall.It is not about acdemic,it is something about realism around us.
Currently we are planning to hold a exhibition for the new installation works by the artist,centered by the work No.500 in order that audience could enjoy the whole space for exhibition.We also will hold anther exhibition for those works in KIAF2009 (Korea).
I believe Yogo Kohgi is one who cannot be ignored in the young artists changing raidly all the time.
